1 a) 5x = 6-y

Take log on both sides:

log(5x) = log(6-y)

log5*x = log(6-y)

So, logA*B = C

comparing with this we have :

A = 5 ; B = x ; C = 6-y

1 b) 0.7x = 0.343

taking log on both sided:

log(0.7x) =log(0.343)

A = 0.7 ; B = x ; C =0.343
