Find the values of the six trigonometric functions for the a

Find the values of the six trigonometric functions for the angle . Assume a = 7, b = 24, c = 25.

Solution

24^2 + 7^2=25^2

so its a right triangle with hypotenuse=25

opposite=7 and adjacent=24

therefore sin theta= opposite/hypotenuse=7/25

cos theta= adjacent/hypotenuse=24/25

tan theta= opposite/adjacent= 7/24

sec theta=1/cos theta=25/24

csc theta=1/sin theta= 25/7

cot theta=1/tan theta= 24/7
