dry friction-it resists the relative motion between solid surfaces that appears in contact with each other.it is ssubdivided into two types: static friction that is between surfaces that are non moving and kinectic friction that is between moving surfaces

Fluid friction-it describes friction between viscous fluid layers that makes movement relative to each other

lubricated friction-the seperstion between solid surfaces is made by a fluid lubricant.

skin friction-the force that resists fluid motion across body surface.

rolling friction-it resists the relative motion of a rollong object.it is a combination of various frictional force types at wheel\'s point of contact and the surface.
