let y =sin^-1(sqrt2/2)

siny = sqrt2/2

y = pi/4

So, sin^-1(sqrt2/2) = pi/4

b) cos^-1(-sqrt2/2)

y =cos^-1(-sqrt2/2)

cosy = -sqrt(2)/2

range of cos^-1x [0, pi]

So, y = pi -pi/4 = 3pi/4

So, cos^-1(-sqrt2/2) = 3pi/4

c) tan^-1(-1)

y = tan^-1(-1)

tany = -1

range of tan^-1x = [-pi/2 , pi/2]

So,y= -pi/4

2) sin^-1(0.7)

y = sin^-1(0.7)

siny = 0.7

range of sin^-1x [ -pi/2, pi/2]

So, y = 0.775
