Solution

1-6 Ans) Energy=Power * Time

a) Energy E =(500*4)+(1500*(8-4))+(1000*(12-8))

E=2000+6000+4000=12000 W-h=12 kWh

E=12 kWh

b) 1kWh=3.6*106 Joules

E=12 kWh*3.6*106=43.2*106 J

E=43.2*106 J
