Pipl.com, basically a stalker\'s best friend.

I used to buy and flip items on Craigslist and used this site for safety to make sure I wasn\'t gonna get scammed or mugged, etc. As far as information, I found this site more useful than googling someone because it gives more legitimate information (addresses, phone numbers, relatives). I did a quick 5 minute search for some of you guys and the professor, and there were only a few searches that turned up with some detailed information, which is good for you guys if you\'re trying to keep a low profile.

However, I\'ve used this before and have gotten addresses, usernames, social media, and cell phone numbers just from searching an e-mail. Full sets of families and relatives and their info, just by searching one full name or number. It really is kind of amazing some of the information that you can find from a small starting bit. Once, you have all this information from pipl.com, then you can search other websites using all the details and specificity to find even more from a person.

I think this is a good point for discussion because it shows how connected all our information is. And with each website that we sign a EULA or blindly accept the Terms and Conditions, we add another breadcrumb that leads back to us.

At what point does it even become private information if it\'s already available to the public?

And if you\'re using a site like this, how would you even go about trying to remove it? This is just an aggregator that uses an algorithm to find the information, but would you be able to find where they got it from yourself? It seems unlikely.
