Organizational memory as the name suggests is the collection of all information gathered in the course of individual existence in organisation and all about that organisation and the reference for these information or the repository of such memory is the archived blocks of organisation and memory of an individual.The incharge depends on the organisation structure.
It is important to manage data to use them in future like how the history can influence the decision making if present.It helps in studying the evolution of shared understandings become part of organisation as whole and how are they effected when people leave the oranization determined by collected information of decision making. Learn from past mistake, capturing epertise, keeping record of achievements and speed learning.
And are managed by services like libraries,record management and archival management. Most importantly organisational memory should be accessible to be practically applicable.
