Required prob = P(AUB) = P(A)+P(B)-P(AB)

P(A) = 0.32(Column total of defects on surface)

P(B) = 0.05+0.07 = 0.12

P(AB) = 0.03+0.04=0.07

Hence reqd prob = 0.32+0.12-0.07

= 0.37
