1. True or False: For a given level of significance, if the sample size is increased, the probability of committing a Type I error will increase.

Solution

Probability of type I error = alpha level, and is chosen by statistician. If I choose alpha = 0.05 for my test, probability of comitting type I error will always remain 0.05, no matter what!
