Solution

Activation and stimulation of both glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis is caused by glucagon and epinephrine (adrenaline) in liver but glucagon don’t work in muscle and epinephrine works on muscle. These help long term maintenance of steady state level of glucose in the blood stream.
