I want you to consider the possible technical aspects of professional communication that you may have to encounter in the future. What type of audience (or what types) do you believe you’ll need to address in the future? What skills or knowledge do you expect those audiences to have? Solution
In professionalism, excellent communication skills differ from good communication skills. First to introduce the technical aspects in professional communication; it corresponds to the amalgamation of oratory (includes listening and speaking), written and even graphical representation skills which one needs to possess as the cadre grows up or preparing to take new stances. Technical language is to be employed while addressing the different stake holders.
As we are considering professional communication, the various kinds of people to be addressed solely include those at the work place. Communication used while addressing the subordinates or co employees, or reporting to the people in higher ranks, or might be even interacting with the clients to perform business.
As the world is globalized and liberalized, there is always a stage to face the interdisciplinary approach which involves stakeholders from different corners having different views about the problem to be worked out and solved. So interdisciplinary character of professional communication is needed.
As a professional personnel, it is to be expected from the target audience to have a basic knowledge in communication skills in the universally and globally accepted language and also possess some background on the technical language of the domain on which the work is being done.
