Cause related marketing is a type of marketing in which a for profit organization and a non-profit organization come together to promote a cause or work together for a social good.
Social marketing is the type of marketing technique deployed by firms to alter behavior and emotions of individuals so that behavior is altered for social good. This is done mostly for social purpose i.e. non-profit.
Cause marketing is more successful because consumers have started moving towards brands that show that they stand for a social cause. Cause related marketing directly appeals to the emotions of the consumers and when the cause being supported in the marketing is close to the heart of the consumers there is a ninstant conenct and thus the brand and the cause both stand to benefit from the campaign.
