Recurrent neural network are the best type of Artificial neural network among various other varieties of ANN (Feedforward neural network , Radial basis function (RBF) network , Kohonen self-organizing network , Learning vector quantization , Modular neural networks , Physical neural network).

Reason:

1) Recurrent neural network allows bi-directional data flow from Input source to Output Destination and vice versa.While on the other hand, other networks like Feedforward neural network propagates data linearly from input to output.

2) Connections are symmetric in Recurrent neural network and also it demonstrate learning of latent variables.
