If the significance level of a test is increased ie increase

If the significance level of a test is increased (i.e. increased from 0.05 to 0.1), will the Type II error increase, decrease, or stay the same? Explain.

Solution

The two type of error rates moves in opposite of other. Thus if we increase the type I error (that is level of significance ) then type II error will decrease.
