when purchasing sunscreen, you notice the container reads \"provides 100% protection from UV-A\" would you purchase and be satisfied with is product? why?
Solution
We can buy the product if it says 100% protection from UV-A, when we consider only aging and wrinkles should be treated. Ideally SPF should be above 30 and below 50, which includes UVB, UVA protections is required for skin.
When we consdier UV-A protection check for the label contents zinc oxide ,titanium oxide which helps us in aging problems.
The American Dermatological Association recommends that consumers \"generously apply a broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen with a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of at least 15 to all exposed skin. Broad-spectrum provides protection from both ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB) rays
UVA rays cause premature aging
UVA rays are responsible for skin aging and wrinkling and can contribute to skin cancer. Because UVA rays pass easily through the ozone layer, they make up the majority of sun exposure. UVA rays can pass through clouds, glass and clothing. You might not be able to feel them, but boy are they there!
UVA doesn\'t cause sunburn, but “it really leads to darkening and aging, because it penetrates deeper into the skin and has more influence in the collagen.”
So if aging and wrinkles are the only problems to be treated we can go for the above mentioned product
