Convert 248 ul to milliliters and to liters using scientific

Convert 248 ul to milliliters and to liters using scientific notation and indicate how many significant digits this number contains. Show your work. Calculate how you will make the following solutions. You will need to show how much of Y solution you will need and how much water you will need. Show your work: You need to make 75 ml of a 0.3M sodium acetate (NaAc) solution. Your work solution is 3 M NaAc. You need to make 850 mL of a 1X TBE solution. Your stock solution is 10X TBE. You need to make a 75 mL solution of 0.5 mu g/ml bromide. Your stock solution is 10 mg/ml.

Solution

1ml =1000 microlitre

So 248 microlitre will be 248/1000 = 0.248 ml...

Now 1 litre = 1000 ml

So 0.248 ml will be 0.248/1000 = 0.000248 litre..

B) (i) we can apply the formulae M1V1(stock) = M2V2(solution to be prepared)

3*V1 = 0.3*75

V1 =( 0.3*75)/3

V1= 7.5 ml..

(ii) applying the same given above formulae

M1V1 =M2V2

10*V1 =1*850

V1 =850/10

V1 =85 ml..

(iii) 1 mg=1000 micro gm.

0.5 microg will be 0.0005 mg

Applying the same above formula

M1V1 =M2V2

10*V1 =0.0005*75

V1 =(0. 0005*75)/10

V1 = 0.00375 ml...
