Solution

1. Blood pressure of our body is dependent on heart contractions and elastic recoils of the arteries. The elastic recoil of the artery allows it to expand but then exert an inward force to create blood pressure. The artery slowly returns back to its shape by continuing maintaining its pressure. This is why blood pressure of normal adult fluctuates between 70 - 120 mm Hg.
