you had calculated force based on the theoretical formula that is correct but you have to calculate on the basis of experiment formula which is given by-

F = Fw(dw2 - dw1)/do

where Fw = mg

m = mass of balance block

do = water jet distance from the pivot

dw1 = balance weight distance from pivot when water jet is not applied

dw2 = balance weight distance from pivot when water jet is applied
