The coupling of one circuit to the other without the use of direct wires is called electrical isolation. Good Electrical Isolation is one in which the transformer provides isolation from dc while permitting the flow of ac between two circuits.

Because of the property of inductor the transformer is able to convert electrical energy in to mechanical and vice versa. Since there is no direct connection of wires from one circuit to the other the manufacturer\'s claim of electrical isolation is reasonable.
