D = 3 inches

So, r = 1.5 inches

V = 4pi*r^3/3

So, volume of one wedge = V/8 = (1/8)*(4pi*1.5^3/3)

V = 1.767 cubic inches approx ---> VOLUME

A = 4pi*r^2

So, area of one wedge = (1/8)*4pi*r^2

A = (1/8)*(4pi * 1.5^2)

A = 3.534 square inches ---> AREA
