Part 1 What is the genotype ratio of the results of a dihybr

Part 1. What is the genotype ratio of the results of a dihybrid cross of a pea plant homozygous for flower color (PP) and heterozygous for pod shape (Ss) with a plant that is heterozygous (Pp) for flower color and homozygous for pod shape (ss)? (Hint: use a Punnett square.)

Part 2. What is the expected phenotype ratio of the PPSs x Ppss cross described in the previous question? Write the ratio in the order of # purple smooth, # purple constricted, # white smooth, # white constricted. Use the format as in the following example: 2:2:1:0 (integers separated by colons with no spaces; be sure to type zero and not the letter O if the phenotype is expected to be absent; also the ratio must be reduced).

I\'ve attempted this cross three times now, and my answers are not matching up with any of the answer choices. I appreciate any help.

Solution

homozygous for flower color (PP...purple) and heterozygous for pod shape (Ss....smooth)...PPSs the gametes.............PS, Ps heterozygous (Pp....purple) for flower color and homozygous for pod shape (ss...constricted)..Ppss the gametes...........Ps, ps PS Ps Ps PPSs (purple smooth) PPss (purple constricted) ps PpSs (purple smooth) Ppss (purple constricted) The ratio of cross..................is 1:1 or 50%:50% ratio of purple smooth: purple contricted
