a)Dial test indicator : is mostly prefferd because it is small in size and this indicator moves in both clockwise and anti clockwise direction. this it is used mostly in bikes and in industries it is fitted in motor pipe lines to check the pressure.

b)Linear Potentiometer: is used in nonlinear applications, for example in a party the volume can be adjust by using this linear potentiometers.

c)strain guage: is used for measurement of strain. As it name itself indicates \"strain\" which consists of tensile and compressive strain.

d) wheatstone bridge: A Wheatstone bridge is an electrical circuit which is used to measure an unknown electrical resistance.

e) Variable Resistor : is used in various applications in industries it is used to control the speed of the motor by varying the variable resistor. It simply reduces the current flowing.

f) Optical Shaft encoders: The relative position and the rotational distance traveled by a shaft can be measured by using optical shaft encoders.

h) tachometer: is used for measuring the rotation speed of a shaft and it displays in RPM (revolutions per minute) or RPS (revolutions per second).
