Which type of region of a polymer, crystalline or amorphous, will have higher density and why?

Polymer with crystalline nature have higher density because of its closely packed and in a definite form crystal structure. There are very less or no gap between the two crystals in a crystalline polymer hence the density will be higher whereas in amorphous polymers there will be gaps, voids in between two crystals which decreases the density of a amorphous polymer.
