Given, R = 6.90 Ohms. use the junction rule, we get

     I1 + I2 = 2.50 A

use the loop rule, we get

    15 = R*I1 + 5*2.50

then, the current, I1 = 0.362 A

therefore, the current is,

     I2 = 2.50 - I1 = 2.138 A

Hence, the emf is,

     emf = 2*I2 + 5*2.50 = 16.776 V = 16.8 V
