Why do we need to convert the units between piams and moles

Why do we need to convert the units between piams and moles of an element\'\' Provide example of the situation in which you have to perform the conversion

Solution

Because its easier to work with and we can apply simple proportion to it according to ratios in which they are present .

For example

suppose we have to find to convert 6-grams of water to moles of water.

H2O \'s molecular formula is (H=1*2) because 2 hydrogen + (O=16) accordind to periodic table of elements

x moles = 6 grams H2O * (1 mole H2O / 18 grams H2O)

x=Than 6*1 divided by 18 = .33moles H2O
