Effort the indicated operations. Assume that all variables represent positive numbers provide an appropriate response. Determine whether the graphs of 4x - y = - 10 and y = 1/4x times 15 are parallel lines, peepers lines, or neither.

Solution

20)

(sqrt12 +2) (sqr12-2)

We have a formula (a+b) (a-b) = (a^2 -b^2).Using this we get

(sqrt12 +2) (sqr12-2) = ((sqrt12))^2 - (2)^2

= 12 - 4

= 8

B is the correct option

22)

We have given,

4x-y = -10 => y= 4x-10

and y= (1/4) x +15

Now two lines parallel if thier slopes are equal and perpendicular if the product of the slopes is equals to -1.

Now slope of first line = 4

slope of second line = 1/4

None of the condition is fulfil . Hence they are neither parallel nor perpendicular.

B is correct
