If I change the SEC/DIV setting on the oscilloscope to “zoom in” what am I changing in terms of the graph displayed?

To increase SEC/DIV setting rotate SEC/DIV knob in clockwise.If we increase the SEC/DIV then there is no change in time period.Let a signal has time period is 10 ms and setting of SEC/DIV in 1ms then it takes 10 divisions to complete one cycle.If we increase SEC/DIV to 10 ms then signal occupies 1 division to complete one cycle.Hence frequency also constant.
