Describe the sequence of biochemical events, including enzymes, that occurs when epinephrine binds to B-adrenergic receptors on muscle cells.

Solution

Epinephrine activate sympathetic nervous system which responds in freight or flight situation. It activates both beta1 and beta2 adrenergic receptors. Activation of beta1 receptor increase s contractile force, heart rate, conduction to av and sv node and renin release from juxtaglomerular cells. Activation of beta2 causes relaxation of vascular and non vascular smooth muscle and is used to treat asthma.
