My research questions would be: (1) what is your perceived severity of health problems realted to you? (2) what is your perceived susceptibility of developing a health problem or a health issue (3) what are the perceived benefits that will occur by doing things that will promote health.

My hypothesis is that people will more actively take steps to care about health if a health problem is serious. In other words life threatening diseases will prompt people to more actively care about their health. Secondly, if an individual thinks that certain actions are effective in reducing the risk of a disease, he or she is more likely to take that action.

Health belief model is a psychological health behavior change model. This model is used to explain as well as predict health related behaviors. As per the health belief model, people\'s belief about health problems explain their level of engagement in behaviors which will help in improving health. This theory has been used in designing my hypothesis. My hypothesis of people taking active care of health in case of life threatening diseases is based on Health Belief Model.
