The objective of this project is to design a wheelchair which is controlled by hand motion by using Glove, which it will allows movement of a wheelchair based on hand movements. The user just must move his hand to move the wheelchair in forward, backward, left or right direction, in case the wheelchair is far away from the handicapped person. In addition, we will add some new features to the standard wheelchair, as we aim to provide an emergency situations, which is about a panic button on the arm of the wheelchair, it will assure safety to the handicapped person in a minimal time. As it will allow the user to press on a panic button whenever he need help. This button is a simple switch will trigger the device that consists of an Arduino board and GSM module. The Arduino board sends a signal to the GSM Module with a SIM Card, which will send an emergency message to the contact. The information can be used by the emergency contact to pinpoint the user\'s location exactly and track the user in the shortest time possible. The las feature which will be the power generation, it\'s works by converting the mechanical motion of the rotating wheel into electrical power with the use of a permanent magnet. That generated power will be stored in small device which will allow the handicapped -person to charge his phone Hardware For the wheelchair and Gloves (8051 series Microcontroller US Accelerometer mDiode, RF module, Encoder ,Decoder, Atmega Microcontroller, Motor driver IC,DC motors, Power Source Battery). For the Panic button: (GSM Module, GPS Tracker Push button, Connecting wires and cables). For the power generation: (V-belt. Inverter, Wire, Motor 12-V or higher. Perforated plumbers steel and the software Keil vvision IDE,MC Programming Language: Embedded C, Arduino Software)

Solution

The plan of the project is to design the wheelchair which is controlled by hand motion by using glove.

Project identifications: Wheel chair movement when using glove left/right/front/back movements. GSM based SMS alert to concerned persons. Auto recharge of handicapped person mobile phone.

Project Conception: This is very helpful to physically handicapped persons to move the wheelchair as required with the help of glove easily. In addition to this adding a new feature like GSM module and Arduino board to the wheel chair to protect the handicapped person. When he/she in trouble they can use panic button to inform to family members.

User/ handicapped person requirements: Phone with working SIM to send the SME when he/she used panic button. Fitted designed wheelchair and gloves. Designer hardware requirements are already provided in the question last.
