Enzyme: is a substance that catalyses the reaction in which a substrate is converted to product.

Optimum temperature: this is the temperature at which there is a maximum enzyme activity.

Most of the enzymes work optimally at a temperature which is in human body that is 37 degrees Celsius (98.6 degrees Fahrenheit) which is the normal body temperature in human beings. Enzyme activity increases with an increase in temperature only up to 40 degree centigrade. Above this temperature they tend to break or get denatured after all the enzymes are proteins.

Sometimes faulty body temperature may result in the development of disorders like Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome and Multiple Enzyme Dysfunction (MED).
