In Biology, please explain how one type of mutation might effect the protein produced by a given gene in a bad, good and neutral way. Explain the effect at each step of transcription and translation.

If a mutation occurs at the first or second base of a codon then it could be bad in the sense of producing stop codon or truncated protein. If a mutation occurs at the site where already a mutation is present and the new mutation is reverted back and in this outcome, the original sequence of protein is maintained so it is a good mutation. And if any mutation is occuring at the third base of a codon it means its not changing the amino acid then it will be a neutral mutation.
