Solution
Q:- Is it ethical to require that anyone who wants to vote in an election have a government issued valid photo ID such as a driver\'s license or passport? why or why not.
Ans:- No, It is not ethical . Because Voter ID is free of cost and its cover all the population of the country . Vote is a fundamental right of every people of all the coutries. There is no such disparities in the vote. Voter Id card is an identification card which is issued by election commisson to eligible voters to enable voter identification the day of election. This is the primary reason for the question. The second reason is that most of the poor class people can\'t afford passport and driving licence because it takes some cost & precedure which is not the cup of tea for the poor people.
Q:- Does getting a government issued photo ID at price constitute a \"poll\" tax?
Ans:- Many of the laws may be lictily flawed and constitute a \"Poll Tax\" because they impose some undue cost on citizens who attempts to cast their right to vote. To avoid a claim that the photo ID requirement is a poll tax, states must offer and its a fundamental right the identification cards needed to vote free of charge. However, voters still must pay for and provide the underlying documents needed to obtain the “free” ID, such as a birth certificate or naturalization papers. Also, this doesn’t factor in workers’ lost time from work just to go to the state motor vehicle agency or a specific location to obtain the ID.
