Prepare samples from a standard known stock solution. Prepare 1-mL aliquots of various dilutions of the Hb (MET) stock solution (3.0 HM) in 1.5 mL microcentrifuge tubes as shown below and label your tubes. Make a duplicate set of sample dilutions. Mix each dilution sample using a vortex mixer. Optional You may make other dilutions in addition to those suggested below.

Hb Stock solution = 3 M

Dilution no 1; C1V1 = C2V2 ; 3 M x 0.05 = C2 x 1ml; C2 = 0.15M

Dilution no 2; C1V1 = C2V2; 3 M x 0.1ml = C2 x 1ml; C2 = 0.3M

Dilution no 3;  C1V1 = C2V2; 3 M x 0.25ml = C2 x 1ml; C2 = 0.75M

Dilution no 4; C1V1 = C2V2; 3 M x 0.5ml=C2 x 1ml; C2 = 1.5M

Dilution no 5; C1V1 = C2V2; 3 M x 0.75ml=C2 x 1ml; C2 = 2.25M

Dilution no 6;C1V1 = C2V2; 3 M x 1 ml= C2 x 1ml; C2 = 3 M
