Find the inverse of the function graph both the function and

Find the inverse of the function, graph both the function and it\'s inverse, and state the domain and range of both the function and it\'s inverse.

f(x) = (x^3) - 1
Find the inverse of the function, graph both the function and it\'s inverse, and state the domain and range of both the function and it\'s inverse.

f(x) = (x^3) - 1

f(x) = (x^3) - 1

Solution

f(x) = (x^3) - 1

inverse:if a function f(x) is mapping x to y then inverse function of f(x) maps y back to x

solving   (x^3) - 1=y for x

            x^3=y+1

              x=(y+1)^1/3

substituting y=x we get inverse

therefore inverse f(x)=(x+1)^1/3

 Find the inverse of the function, graph both the function and it\'s inverse, and state the domain and range of both the function and it\'s inverse. f(x) = (x^3
