If v1 varies from a maximum of 12V to a minimum of 12V what

If v_1 varies from a maximum of 12V to a minimum of -12V, what is the maximum and minimum v_0 for the below circuit. Given z_1 breakdown 8.0 V, 2_2 breakdown 10.0 V, forward bias 1.0V

Solution

Ans) Let us find Vo for two extremes of Vi i.e +12 V and -12 V

For Vi=12 V

Z1 is forward biased(V=1 V) and Z2 is reverse biased (break down V=10 V)

So Vo(max)=10-1=9 V

Vo(max)=9 V

-------------------------------------

For Vi=-12 V

Z1 is reverse biased (V=8 V) and Z2 is forward biased (break down V= 1V)

So Vo(min)=-(8-1)=-7 V

Vo(min)=-7 V

If v_1 varies from a maximum of 12V to a minimum of -12V, what is the maximum and minimum v_0 for the below circuit. Given z_1 breakdown 8.0 V, 2_2 breakdown 1
