Big data could be use to track productivity but for that the organization will need large data of past productivity to compare it, big data and business intelligence work by looking at years of daya and then making recommendation based on historical data.

Some industries that electronically monitoring employees would not work ate those which dont have a regular demand, those only work for seasons, for example: business that take care of the snow, companies who only do production for 3 month for christmas, restaurants, hotels.
