I have results from data that i analyzed in linear regression on spss but need help determining if there is a true connect of my dependent and independent variable based on my results. If you have any questions I can try to explain better if I am missing data. Thanks!

Solution

We can do this in 2 ways: 1) since 95% CI of slope does not contain zero, we are confident that true slope coefficient is not zero => regression is significant

or 2) since p-value is smaller than 0.05, we conclude that regression coefficient is significant.
