Translate these recommendations to Dose Volume Histogram constraints and plot these on a (cumulative) DVH graph. Show examples of desired DVHs for both the target and organs at risk.

Radiation therapy techniques very often, yield non-uniform dose distributions in the tissues that are not targeted. CT and RT based diagnosis changed the target volume visualization problems and started with multiple-field and three dimensional (3D) conformation. The CT techniques are able to achieve near-uniform doses to the target volume. Though, the dose-distribution has been observed to be more variable in the surrounding normal tissues.

QUANTEC technologies have been designed such that they would provide a treatment planner that would allow flexibility in determining which regions of normal tissue are to be incidentally irradiated.
