Red bone marrow consist of fibrous tissue that contain a hematopoietic stem cells which are blood forming stem cells.
Yellow bone marrow contains mesenchyma stem cells that produce fat, cartilage and bone.
Hematopoietic stem cells give rise a myeloid and lymphoid lineages which includes cells such as monocyte, macrophage, erythrocyte, neutrophil, eosinophil and platelates as well as T cells, B cells and NK cells.
