Solution
A. It is a system of pressure control that maintains this variable at a certain value or desired range.
B. Firts, the fluid passes through the pressure valve (PV), then, its resulting pressure is measured directly by a pressure transmitter (PT), located on the pipes. The PV transform this physic measure in an electric signal which is received by the pressure indicator controller (PIC), placed on a control panel. The PIC displays de pressure measure and depending of the desired value of the variable, it sends a control signal (electrical) to the pressure calculator (PY), indicating it if the pressure has to be adjusted. If that\'s the case, the PY will apply the required neumatic action, directly on de PV, to modify the pressure drop of the fluid after it passes throuh the valve, until the desired pressure is obtained.
C. We can found control systems like this, for example, if downstreams there are equipment that can\'t be subject to high pressures. So, the system detects when there is a pressure over the admissible values for these equipment, and adjust de valve to modify this variable so there\'s no operation problems downstreams.
