Given the circuit shown below: Label the nodal voltages, V_1 and V_2. Using nodal analysis, set up the equations necessary to solve for V_1 and V_2. Use Matlab to solve your equations for V_1 and V_2. Calculate the current through and voltage across every component in the circuit. Double-check your answers with MultiSim or other circuit analysis software.

Solution

(a) voltages are labeled as shown in the figure

(b) KCl at node V1 gives I2-I5+I(R1)=0 and we have I2=10 A,I5=10 A

So current through Resistor R1=IR1=I5-I2=0 A

V1=IR1*R1=0 V

V2=-I2*R2=-10*20K=-200000 V

V2=-200000 V

(c) the equations are simple and solved in Matlab above results are obtained

(d)Current through Resistor R3=10 A

R4=0 A

R2=10 A

R5=10 A

Voltage across R2= V2=200000 V

R4 and I4=0 V

R3=50000 V =I(R3)=10*5k

R5=100000 V=I(R5)=10*10k

I2=175000 V

I5=175000 V

Volatge across I2 and I5 is calculated by KVL V(I2)+V(I5)=10*(R5+R2+R3)=350000 V

current sources share voltage equally so V(I2)=V(I5)=350000/2=175000 V

 Given the circuit shown below: Label the nodal voltages, V_1 and V_2. Using nodal analysis, set up the equations necessary to solve for V_1 and V_2. Use Matlab
