Be able to explain why penguins and polar bears do not live

Be able to explain why penguins and polar bears do not live in the same place. Be able to explain what the role of plate tectonics was in why they live in different places.

Solution

Thanks for the question

Polar bears are found in the Arctic Circle region of the Northern Hemisphere. Penguins are found in the Southern Hemisphere ranging from the Galapagos Islands to the coast of Antarctica. They are separated by the warm waters around the equator. The reson for this is the different cljmatic conditions both are able to survive in. the polar bears cannot survive the weather conditions of the southern hemisphere.

Plate tectonics is the large-scale motion of 7 large plates and the movements of a larger number of smaller plates of the earths under surface (lithosphere)
