Solution

Sequential Probability Ratio Test was originally developed as an inspection tool to determine whether a given lot meets the production requirements. Basically, a sequential test is a method by which items are tested in sequence, one after another. The test results are reviewed after each test. Two tests of significance are applied to the data accumulated up to that time.

The SPRT is basically a ratio test but with dual thresholds that allows for the decision to be delayed, and to make more tests, until a certain confidence level is reached. Therefore, in lot sampling, where samples sizes are small and decisions are to be made in very short span of time, it becomes impossible to rely on SPRT. Hence, it is infeasible in lot sampling.
