1. We have two samples: Metal A and Metal B. we want to compare their strength. Why we cannot always use the tensile force to compare these two metals. What solution you have to compare their strength and why?

Tensile testing is only test for tension in the specimen..if the metal is brittle tensile test is not suitable to specify the material is strong or not..brittle materials usually reach much higher ultimate stresses in compression than in tension
