The graph of y gx contains the point 12 5 What point must b

The graph of y = g(x) contains the point (-12, -5). What point must be on the graph of each of the functions below? Enter points as (a, b) including the parentheses. The graph of y = g(4x) -9 must contain the point The graph of y = 1/4g(x) + 8 must contain the point The graph of y = -(g(4(x + 4)) -13) must contain the point The graph of y = 4g(-1/4x - 4) - 5 must contain the point

Solution

By given relatonship point (-12, -5) lies on the graph y=g(x), this point should satisfies the graph

So -5 = g(-12). We have to use g(-12) in each graph

a) y = g(4x) - 9 Put X=-3 to make x=-12 So point is (-3, -14)

b) y= 1/4 g(x)+8 Point is (-12, 5)

c) y = -(g(4(x+4))-13) point is (-7, 18)

d) y = 4g(-1/3x - 4) -5 point is (24, -25)

The graph of y = g(x) contains the point (-12, -5). What point must be on the graph of each of the functions below? Enter points as (a, b) including the parent
