Using the metal property of thermal conductivity would lead
Using the metal property of thermal conductivity, would lead be a good metal for a heat sink in a laptop? What other considerations should be made if you wanted to use lead in a laptop?
Solution
Lead has a Low thermal conductivity of around 35W/mK. So its not not very much desirable to use as a heat sink in laptop. One property of lead is it provides a very goos shielding against radiation. So it can be used in CRT monitors to protect eyes from the radiation generated inside. Also its low melting point temperature can be used to protect laptop charger during voltage fluctuations
