Imagine you are going to enter two upcoming repeated prisoner\'s dilemma tournaments. In one tournament, you advance through head-to-head wins, but in the other tournament you play everyone multiple times and the winner is determined by aggregate overall payoffs. You will play for an unknown number of repeated rounds with each matched opponent in both tournaments. Would you submit the same strategy for each tournament? In 1 st tournament........there is no scope for losing...so, the strategy will be very simple and that is win all the matches!..and in each step you will face e new opponent so there are no chances of any other strategies!

In 2nd tournament , the strategy until you face all opponents once with the same strategy as above.As then act accordingly. You have to watch the position in the rankings table and then choose easy opponents and your motive is to be in the top of the table and not win every match , so a game where you think won\'t affect the standings in the table and is extremely difficult for you , you may choose to withdraw from that match!
