Answer :

1. How can a computer with only 2G of physical memory run two programs that both use 1.5G each?

Answer :

1.The first program using memory pages will be copied from physical memory to disk.

2.This free memory is enough for the second program to run.

3.If 1st program run again,the 2nd programs data will be written to disk backend portion of virtual memory.

4.The 1st programs data reading from disk & it will run once.

2. How is virtual memory related to physical memory?

Answer :

1.Virtual memory mappings are made to correspond to actual physical addresses.The OS creates and deals with these mappings like utilize the page table,amoung data structures maintain the mappings.

2.Physical memory are the RAM chips tat placed in a slot on the computer motherboard.Virtual memory is stored o the hard drive.When RAM is filled virtual memory will be used.The RAM is the 1st memory.

3.In OS,data can be constantly exchanged between RAM Memory & Hard disk through Virtual memory .
