So for example, if you are in group A-H, you will compute the variance for your transactions data 1) Compute the Five-number summary (Min, Q1, Q2, Q3, Max) 2) Compute Mean 3) Find Variance 4) Compute the Standard Deviation 5) Find the 95% Standard Deviations Step 4 Please find the chart below which identifies the data set and the 5 functions you must compute. As you can see, you will be using six data sets and computing a few different functions for each test Group Data Columns (By Last Name) A (3) N-Z 3

Solution

You can use either MS-EXCEL or R whatever you like to solve this problem.I will use MS-EXCEL here.

   To find quartiles use the function QUARTILE.
